Mature Age : Make it Work for You

 

Many job seekers view their age as a limiting factor when it comes to gaining employment. This perception often impacts on the success of job searching. This 1-day workshop aims to re-frame the view of mature age job seekers so as to provide them with the necessary tools and skills to use their age to their advantage when looking for work

 

This course will cover topics such as:

 

· Recognising your own views about your age

· Recruitment/job search tips for mature age job seekers

· Mature age : The selling points

· Myths and stereotypes and how to respond

· Marketing yourself as a mature age job seeker

· Personal presentation

· Addressing employer concerns

· Identifying employers of choice

 

Pre-Course Information

Consultants will receive pre-course information that can be passed on to participants as well as general instructions for including this course in an EPP etc.

 

Post Course Information

Consultants will receive a post-course report on their job seeker including suggestions of what to do next to increase the possibilities of interviews and job placement as well as Reverse Marketing leads.

 

Who Should Attend?

 

· Mature age (MA) job seekers (45yo+)

· MA job seekers with a negative view of their age

· MA job seekers who believe employers discriminate based on age

· MA job seekers who want to improve their employment prospects
