COMMUNITY AND YOUTH TRAINING SERVICES INC

Flexible informal training environment. Offering Certificate III, Iv and Diploma in Youth Work. Certs III in Community Services and Aged Care (workplace assessment/rpl). Will also support people already working part time or building skills in a work placement or volunteer capacity , trying to gain recognition for their skills.

Students who have previously experienced barriers to education or training are our main client audience. Culturally appropriate and sensitive training for Aboriginal students, with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal trainers.

People who may not be eligible for TAFE entrance or not able to attend other accredited training because of structured delivery times, may be better suited to the range of training options and combinations offered.

Rolling intakes so students can join at any time of year.

People wanting to commence or continue training during Jan-Feb break can be accommodated.

People with low literacy or learning issues are supported in this environment, with additional in-class and out-of-class training support.

Women in Bandyup and Boronia can also be supported to commence or continue training.

The organisation is linked into OUTCARE which can assist people coming out of prison to re-integrate into society.

CYTS provides 'no shame' assistance to interpret job selection criteria, apply and/or prepare for jobs and job interviews.
